By creating an account, connecting your Web3 wallet, or otherwise accessing Sherlock AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By using Sherlock AI, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Service Description
Sherlock AI provides AI-powered legal analysis, precedent research, and case evaluation tools. Our services include:
- Automated case analysis using AI technology
- RAG-enhanced precedent search and retrieval
- Legal document analysis and summarization
- AI-powered chat assistant for legal research

3. User Accounts & Web3 Authentication
To use Sherlock AI, you must connect a compatible Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect). You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your wallet and private keys
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
We are not responsible for any losses resulting from unauthorized wallet access or compromised private keys.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to:
- Use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Use automated systems to scrape or harvest data
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models
- Resell or redistribute our services without permission
- Use the service to generate content for unlawful purposes
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
All content, features, and functionality of Sherlock AI (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and AI models) are owned by Sherlock AI and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the legal documents and case information you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a license to process, analyze, and use it to provide our services and improve our AI models.
6. Disclaimers & Warranties
SHERLOCK AI IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable
- AI-generated analyses will be complete, current, or applicable to your situation
- Any errors in the service or AI outputs will be corrected
AI models can make mistakes, hallucinate information, or provide outdated legal references. Always verify important information with authoritative sources.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
Sherlock AI and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the service
- Any reliance on AI-generated content or analysis
- Any decisions made based on our service
- Unauthorized access to your wallet or data
- Errors, bugs, or inaccuracies in our service
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sherlock AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Sherlock AI after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sherlock AI operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Sherlock AI shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
